John Walton’s New Musical ‘A Town Without Jazz’ Click on the icons to listen to the overture and song samples from ‘A Town Without Jazz’, the new musical with book, music and lyrics by John Walton. (see ‘Musicals’ page). ‘ A Town Without Jazz’ tells the story of Cardigan Frank, a man who was once a famous musician but who now sleeps on a bench in a market place, where he is visited by supernatural beings. If you wish to stage this work, we will provide scripts, backing tracks, song demos and written music for piano and voice.
